Within the framework of the International Congress of Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, we are pleased to announce the “One Health Workshop: From Research to Social Transformation.” Join us for this intensive training experience to strengthen your capacity as a researcher in human, animal, and environmental health.

This workshop aims to provide participants with fundamental knowledge about the One Health concept and its practical application in research. Participants will not only gain an understanding of the scientific basis of the One Health approach, but will also examine how research generates broader social impact, promotes environmental sustainability, contributes to animal and community health, and fosters both the social appropriation and the collaborative construction of knowledge from a people-centered perspective.

Primarily aimed at postdoctoral researchers and early- and mid-career researchers, the workshop invites those interested in integrating interdisciplinary and socially engaged approaches into their research.

The workshop will offer an applied introduction to the One Health approach, covering how to design research capable of addressing complex challenges at the interface between human, animal, and environmental health. Participants will learn about perspectives from public health, infectious diseases, and epidemiology, as well as participatory approaches focused on the social appropriation of knowledge and working with communities. The goal is to provide tools for envisioning, proposing, and implementing interdisciplinary projects with the potential to generate scientific impact and social transformation.
